The caldera is populated and includes the two main villages of Kedisan and Toya Bungkah. The locals largely rely on agriculture for income but tourism has become increasingly popular due to the relatively straightforward trek to the summit of the central crater Mount Batur.

Tegallalang Village well known with the village of handicrafts center especially for wholesale and export, a long of the road you will see a lot of shops, they sell variety of painted woodcarving with colorful designed. The painted woodcarving products that they sell made from very light wood with reasonable price, they do sell their handicrafts for retail too.
Kecak and Fire Dance
Last stop will be at Batubulan village where we will see one of Bali exotic dance, Kecak and Fire Dance. Kecak and Fire Dance is most popular dance in Bali and might be compulsory for tourist to see this unique dance. Kecak and Fire Dance is a form of Balinese music drama originated in the 1930s and is performed primarily by around 60 men wearing checked cloth around their waist, percussively chanting “cak… cak… ca…k” and throwing up their arm. There is a story inside taken from Ramayana Story from India, depict about a battle rescue Shinta from Rahwana. At the end of the dance, one of the dancers will be dancing on coconut shell fire.
